A Guide to the Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath School Bible Study Guides

This site will be devoted to reviews of Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath School Bible Study Guides as they are published. It is an unfortunate fact that many Seventh-day Adventists believe they receive an adequate amount of biblical training by attending Sabbath School and church. The majority of those who attend Sabbath School regularly don’t study the Sabbath School lesson in any serious way before Sabbath School. Most of those who do attend Sabbath School and even study the lesson either aren’t aware of or don’t disclose the subtle and even not so subtle error in some of those lessons.

It is time to get serious about Bible study. The casual approach to Bible study that may have gotten people by in this time of relative peace is not going to be sufficient for what is soon coming. Those who won’t be deceived are those who conform to what the real Bible teaches. They will need to know what the real Bible says. Unfortunately many don’t know which Bible is without error or don’t believe any Bible is without error.

I believe there is an infallible Bible and that Ellen G. White was a prophet inspired by the same Holy Ghost that inspired the holy men of God that wrote the Holy Scriptures of old. Ask your pastor, an elder or a Sabbath School teacher if the Bible has any mistakes in it and you will likely be told it does have a few mistakes. Ask them about the writings of Ellen G. White and you may be told she was “the lesser light” implying you don’t need to take what she wrote too seriously.

I don’t say these things because I have any objection to the uncorrupted doctrines of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I do say these things because what is being taught in various ways is decreasing faith in pure Seventh-day Adventist doctrine and in the Sacred Writings. What is being done needs to be exposed.
